Reagan meeting Shepherd deserved a post all on it's own. We fretted over this transition for so long. He's older and can't be fooled, so I wanted us to be really transparent with him. We wanted him to feel excited and loved and involved.
He spent the night with Grandma Darlene the evening I was in labor (Tuesday). The next night Zach went home a during the day and told him he had a brother. He goes "all my dreams have come true!" Z took him to pick out a present to give Shep and to give him a disposable camera to take his own pictures with (I'm going to have them developed and put into a photo book for R to keep in his room.) That evening Zach spent the night at our house with Reagan (Wednesday.) Thursday we were ready to just be in our own home so I asked to go home early and we left that afternoon. I can't believe how fast everything went!
Heading home...
Geez could our hearts be any fuller?
