So long, farewell

A big part of my stress these last few weeks has been the impending move from our apartment. Our FIRST apartment. Well this weekend we finally moved out of it (kinda, but we've only had to make one trip back because we forgot something. And that was only the medicine drawer... and the pot-holder drawer... and the utensil drawer.) We are now in this awkward phase where our lease was up on this apartment before we can move into our next one so everything is just shoved into my parents garage. I'm sure they really enjoy that. And Reagan and I are staying with them until after we get back from vacation.

Anyway, it was kind of sad leaving our first place, so many things happened there!

Zach worked so hard to move us in, he did most of it himself and was determined to have it perfect. The place was just the right size for us. Although it was weird having a random sink in each room, it worked for us!

Reagan learned to crawl here

He celebrated his first Halloween there. Look how amused he is.

He started sleeping through the night there (thank the Lord, it freakin' took long enough) and started eating "people" food in it too.

He started to pull himself up and walk and we trained him to become David Beckham by taking advantage of the Johnny Jump-up.

I could find them having morning conversations like this.

He had his first birthday party here. I'm sure he'll always have fond memories of watching the basketball game with the "guys" at his party (haha, not). He tolerated me turning his sink into a hot tub only for a photo op. Here he looks a little startled though.

Good-bye apartment. We will miss you, you were so good to us.

Remember the time when we had just finished moving in on the 4th of July and we sat in your front yard to watch the fireworks? (Never mind the drunks playing bag-o next door) What about the time when you gave us DVR and I about peed my pants out of excitement? Oh and don't you remember when Zach was lifting Reagan with a towel and accidentally dropped him (from a low, low height. Please don't call CPS.) We were scared but grateful you had such soft carpet. Also, thank you for being so close to the school so that Zach could just walk there and save gas money. And thank you for having the people above us move out rather quickly after we moved in. We really didn't like Zach having to go over there to check on them after they got in fights and one of them fell down the stairs, knocking things off of our walls, that really wasn't fun. We have so many memories with you...

Now, please wish us luck in finding a new place that works with our situation!

Memories! :) How cute! I lived in an apt. in college where they also had random sinks in each room. It was weird, but I too, got used to it.

It is a bitter-sweet moment. But, you're on to bigger and better things.
