It's Birthday Time!!

HaPpY BiRtHdAy GrAnDma MeInEr!!!

This spunky lady turns 71 today! One of my best memories is when I went into labor with Reagan. We called them in the middle of the night just to give them a heads up, and their response... "okay we're leaving the house, be there in 45 min." In the middle of the night! They stayed the whole time. (This is off the original subject, but we really did have the best fan group there the whole entire time. No, not in the delivery room, in the waiting room... your gross.) She will seriously beat you on ANY level of old school Nintendo's Dr. Mario-- she puts her grandsons to shame. She loves to travel in their motor home, she makes an excellent co-captain. We can thank her for all of our yearly vacations to the beloved Sylvan Lake because her parents are the ones who started the tradition. The blue cabin was the original vacation hot spot. She likes to paddle-boat around the lake, jet-ski, fish... you name it, even though she can't swim. I asked her to fill out these questions, she told me they were hard but she would do the best she could. Let's see what she came up with: What is your favorite thing about being 71? My bypasses are still working.

Tell us a story about square-dancing with Grandpa back in the day:The 1st square dance at Carlock I took along a boyfriend from home so I would have someone to dance with. Grandpa asked me to dance, so the next dance in two weeks I left Dick Freeman at home.

Your favorite birthday present as a young girl: my black & white dog, Mitzie.

When you were little, what age did you think was "old"? 50

If you could celebrate your birthday dinner with three people, ANYONE in the whole world (dead or alive), who would they be? my family, my Sylvan Lake friends, President John F. Kennedy (um, that is a lot more than 3 people gma)

List every pet you've ever had: Just Mitzie before I had kids and got them pets

Name 3 interesting facts about yourself, maybe ones people wouldn't necessarily know:

1) I am scared to death of mice
2) I like to volunteer at Evenglo Lodge
3) I plan to hit some more $1000.00 royal flushes at some casino this summer

And she's not joking about winning the money, I would take her with me to the casino any day if wanted to win big. The girls are taking her out to dinner tonight after Debbie gives her a pedicure, can't wait!
