Happy Birthday Grandpa (+1)!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

My Grandpa had his birthday yesterday! Besides being the best golfer in South Carolina he is also an awesome dad (Sheila & Barry), grandfather (Ashley & Andrew), and great-grandpa (Reagan)!!! Here is a little bit more about him in his own words-

How old are you? 67

How old do you feel? some days 30, some days 80.

Memory growing up- I thought everybody had hand me downs, i had a fun childhood.

What were you doing 50 years ago? Probably playing basketball and baseball. Did not start playing golf until age 25. Did not hit the books until college. My high school did not prepare you for college like they do now.

Favorite food- steak and crablegs which i had tonight. (Thanks for inviting me Grandma!!!!!!)

Least favorite food- stewed tomatoes but i like just tomatoes, and turnip greens.

Nicknames- Gentle Ben and Creep when i was in high school because i would take a long shower after basketball practice. We only had 4 showers and whoever came in first after running laps at the end of practice got to go first. (I'm glad you explained the creep one)

What did you want to be when you grew up? Own my own business.

How many push-ups can you do? Now or 50 years ago? I can do 15 or 20 now. I work more on stretching exercises now.

I asked him to name three interesting things about him but he slacked and didn't, so I'll do it for him :)

1) He has the best laugh in the whole world. It is infectious and it makes you laugh super hard with him. He is the reason people came up with the saying "young at heart".

2) He used to pay me to give him massages when I was litte. I even made a catalog of types of massages for him to choose from, including prices and even a picture reference.

3) He has the prettiest hair in the whole wide world. I remember everyone used to talk about it, especially Granny. It has the prettiest wave and it is not white but a pretty silver-y color. (I just realized I used pretty three times to describe his hair, replace it with "hansome".)

4) When I googled his name these are some of the quotes I found from papers he has been in... SCGA/WSCGA - 1999 Mixed Team- "Chris and Ben Shadoan were equally as overpowering in the Senior Division. The Taylors, SC husband and wife team combined for 140 two day score to win their division by a whopping 18 shots. The Shadoan's overcame a double bogey start on the second round to post an even par 71." 9th Annual SCGA/WSCGA Mixed Team Championship- "Chris and Ben Shadoan, both from Taylors, shot a final round score of 77 for a total of 150 and two shot victory in the Senior Division. This is the Shadoan’s fourth victory in the Mixed Team Championship." Seriously THEY ROCK.

I love you Grandpa!!!!!
